A PARTNERSHIP LIKE NO OTHER

The MasterCraft Throwdown is an event like no other and it was born out of a partnership like no other. MasterCraft is the industry leader in towboats and ESPN is the worldwide leader in sports. It only made sense for us to team up.

The Throwdown is set to go for August 8th at Millennium Park in Grand Rapids, Michigan. It features the world’s greatest wakeboarders, a world-record skiflying attempt by Freddy Krueger, all kinds of on-water antics you’ve never seen before orchestrated by Gregg Godfrey and to cap off the night, a concert by chart-topping, hard rocking country superstar Kip Moore.

When we say this is the big one, we mean it. The ESPN/MasterCraft partnership lets us unlock a level of production and polish that just wasn’t possible before.

You can’t pack more fun into one day at the lake. This event is going to change everything about water sports competitions and you don’t want to miss it. Be there or you’re blowing it.

KIP MOORE IS BRINGING THE NOISE

After a day of ripping action on the water we round out the MasterCraft Throwdown with a ripping concert by chart-topping, hard rocking country superstar Kip Moore. Come see the double platinum man behind the smash hits “Somethin’ ‘Bout A Truck,” “Hey Pretty Girl” and “Dirt Road” take the stage to play the hits and bring the signature live energy that makes him uniquely qualified to finish off the Throwdown in a big way.

If you don’t know him, get familiar at kipmoore.net, come ready to sing along and take in a rock show you’re not going to forget anytime soon.

AN INVITATION TO BE GREAT

We wanted the best of the best when it came to wakeboard competitors for the MasterCraft Throwdown so we brought together a top-secret group of industry lifers to determine who should be invited. Video was reviewed and names were chosen. From there we put together an invite kit worthy of the competition. A custom built metal box opened up to reveal a Throwdown belt buckle and a personalized video invitation from Gregg Godfrey himself. If you wanted in, you had to say so online and in video form to let the competitors know you’re coming for them.

We’re proud to announce the list of wakeboard heavy hitters who are up for the challenge of appearing at the inaugural MasterCraft Throwdown: Harley Clifford, Mike Dowdy, Danny Harf, Rusty Malinoski, Massi Piffaretti, Aaron Rathy, Bob Soven, and Shota Tezuka.

Check out their bios up above and then search for #mcthrowdown15 to see their acceptance.
